When placing or repositioning a patient in the BRODA Elite chairs, always use the TILT before the recline. If you RECLINE a patient without any TILT on the chair, you will be moving them forward in the chair and there will be a space between the back of the chair and the patient. You can see this by swinging out the arm of the chair.

On the BRODA Elite chairs, it is not recommeded to depress the TILT and the RECLINE levers at the same time as this will RECLINE the chair. The RECLINE overrides the TILT.

If you are a shorter caregiver and you find that pushing the BRODA Elite chairs is sometime awkward, put a bit of TILT on the chair and that will allow you to steer the chairs using the shoulder bolsters of the chair. This gives you more control.
